I saw the store had opened, and popped in to see what you had in stock. Dennis greeted me with a smile and began chatting with me while I looked around. Without even realizing it, I started sharing some concerns I had about a situation I was dealing with at work. Dennis offered to pray for me and I accepted. The situation resolved itself the next day. Dennis told me that Yes & Amen is more than just a store…it is a ministry. I am grateful that he stopped what he was doing and prayed for me right in the store.

I heard about Yes & Amen Boutique at church. I went in a few days ago to buy a Bible for my granddaughter as a birthday present. I don’t know much about the different translations of the Bible. I told the clerk I needed one that was easy to read and, rather than just make a suggestion, he explained the differences to me and let me decide. My granddaughter loves her new Deep Blue Kids Bible. My mother always had a button jar and as a kid I loved to play with the buttons. Mom moved to heaven in July of 2003. I am an only child, and we were very close. I really miss her. Shortly after she died I started finding buttons in random places where they would not ordinarily be. (On the floor in the checkout line of the grocery store, in the parking lot at church, in my desk drawer at work, etc.) I take these as a special sign that my mother is still watching over me. I dropped by your store the other day to look around. It was her birthday, so I was just trying to find something to do to keep myself busy. I bought one of your indoor/outdoor plaques from Subtle Verse…the one with the picture of buttons on it. Finding it was a real blessing to me. I think of mom and smile every time I look at it.
